Two arrested following enforcements in Hinckley
Two more people have been arrested as part of large police operation in Hinckley to combat drug dealing.
On Friday 13 January, officers from the Hinckley neighbourhood action team held a raid at an address in the Rugby Road area, Hinckley, where a 28 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis. He was also arrested for money laundering contrary to the Proceeds of Crime Act. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
This raids followed another the previous Friday (6 January) where a 35 year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of class A drugs at an address on Edward Street, Hinckley. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries. At the same property a 28-year-old female was given a police caution for possessing an amount of cannabis.
These two raids form part of Operation Lone Wolf, which has been running since 16 December. So far 25 people have been arrested for drugs related offences and 16 homes in Hinckley, Earl Shilton, Barwell and Burbage have been raided. Police are anticipating further arrests in the coming weeks for similar offences.
