Serious assault on the St. Peters Estate

Five men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault on the St Peters Estate in Leicester this morning (Monday February 2).

Police were called at around 1.20am to a building on Pluto Close following a report of a man in his late teens to early twenties with a puncture wound to his body.

He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where his injuries are said to be serious but stable.

Scene preservation is in place around two flats in the building and enquiries are ongoing this morning.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Leicestershire Constabulary on 0116 222 22 22 or Crimestoppers which is free * and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
