Officers are appealing for witnesses after an incident of indecent exposure in Barwell.

The incident happened between 3pm and 3.30pm on Friday April 24, 2009 when a man was seen to indecently exposing himself in a field off Barwell Lane near to the Red Lion Pub on High Street.

The witness, a woman in her fifties told her husband who challenged the man and he left on his bike towards the High Street.

He is described as white, in his late teens to early twenties and around 5'10" tall. He had shoulder length blonde wavy hair. He was wearing a light grey long sleeved sweatshirt and jeans.

He was riding a dark framed bicycle. He also had a dark backpack and he was seen holding a magazine.

PC Kate Cheney, who is investigating this incident, said: "This incident was obviously quite upsetting for the woman and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

"I am appealing for the public's help to find this man and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and saw a man fitting the description.

"If you have any information which could assist with our enquiries please get in touch."
