Police in Hinckley are appealing for witnesses following the report of a burglary at a house on Queens Road.

The incident happened between 7.30pm on Friday April 17 and 1.30pm on Monday April 20, when the owner of the house returned to find a back door had been opened and left wide open.

Someone had broken in through a window at the back of the property, taking a number of items before making their escape through the back door.

Items taken from the property include a 50" Pioneer television, a De Walt electric saw, a Sony PS3 games console and a Worcester Bosch boiler.

PC Sadie Harlock, the officer investigating the incident, said: "The owner of this property has been left upset by the burglary but we're hoping the public may be able to help.

"Because of the quantity and size of the items stolen we believe that a vehicle was used to take them from the property. We would like anyone who seen items such as these being loaded into a vehicle to contact us.

"We would also like electrical dealers to make themselves aware of the times described. Should you be approached by somebody trying to sell any of the items we would urge you to contact us."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 4338 Sadie Harlock on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 4338. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
