Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was broken into in Great Casterton.

The incident happened overnight between 11.45pm on Sunday May 31 and 5.15am on Monday June, when the victim found the passenger side window to his car smashed and two laptops from inside stolen.

The victim is offering a £250 reward for the return of his laptops

PC Pete Starbuck, the officer investigating the incident, said: “The victim has been left very upset at the loss of his laptop as they contain personal information.

“We are appealing to the public in the hope that they will have seen something during the specified times and will contact us.

“If you can remember seeing someone acting suspiciously in the area on that evening, or know of someone who has recently acquired two laptops matching the descriptions, then we want to hear from you.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 842 Pete Starbuck on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 0842. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
