Officers are appealing for information after a car was damaged in the Stoneygate area.

The incident happened between 2.30am and 7.15am on Tuesday May 19, 2009 when a black Mercedes SL parked on The Approach was damaged.

The car had paint and a corrosive liquid poured on it and inside damaging the paintwork and seats. The car also had its soft top roof damaged and a racist insult was painted on the windscreen.

PC Yusuf Nagdi, who is investigating this incident, said: “We have been making enquiries into this incident including carrying house to house and are hoping that there is someone who has some crucial information about this incident.

“If you have any information regarding this incident it is not too late to get in touch. Please contact us if you witnessed this incident or if you have any information regarding the person or people responsible.”
