Appeal after vehicles damaged on Wicklow Drive
Officers are appealing for public help after a number of vehicles were damaged on Wicklow Drive.
The incidents happened between 4pm on Friday June 12 and 6am on Saturday June 13, 2009 when four cars parked on Wicklow Drive near to its junction with Green Lane Road were vandalised.
The cars, a blue Vauxhall Vectra, a green Peugeot 206, a green Peugeot 306 and a green Mercedes 250, had a powder, believed to be flour, thrown over them.
PC Ed White, who is investigating the incidents, said: "We have been carrying house to house enquiries in the area but so far we are missing the vital information that will help us track down those responsible.
"If you were in the Wicklow Drive area between these times and you perhaps witnessed these incidents or noticed someone paying particular attention to vehicles, please get in touch.
"Activity which may have seemed insignificant to you at the time could now prove to be very important so please get in touch if you saw or heard anything.
"We are also encouraging anyone whose vehicle was damaged in the same way that night who has not yet reported the matter to the police to do so as soon as possible.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1738 Ed White on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer and when prompted key in his identification number 1738. Alternatively, people can call Crimestoppers free* and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
