Burglary in Abbey Park Road
Police are appealing for witnesses after a property in Abbey Park Road was burgled.
The incident happened at around 2.20pm on Friday July 10 2009, when witnesses spotted two men leaving the property with a television.
The two men made then made their escape in a sky blue Ford Fiesta.
It is believed that they gained access through a window at the back of the property.
Upon investigation it was found that a number of items had been taken, including a HP laptop, jewellery, a Playstation and a Nintendo Wii games console, a Sony digital camera, a Sony DVD player and a Samsung 52” plasma television.
One of the men is described as white, aged between 20 and 25-years-old, about 5’6” tall and of a slim build. He had short ginger hair and was wearing a dark blue check shirt and blue jeans.
The second man is described as white, again aged between 20 and 25-years-old, around 5’6” tall and of a slim build. He also had short ginger hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He had a local accent.
PC Janine Hardy, the officer investigating the incident, said: “Many items were taken from the property and we are hoping that by appealing to the public we will be able to return these items to their owners.
“If you were in the area of Abbey Park Road at the time of the incident and can remember seeing anything suspicious, then we want to hear from you.
“Did you see a sky blue Ford Fiesta prior to or after the incident? Did you see where it went to? Did you see those in the car? Do you recognise the men described?
“We would also like to make electrical dealers aware of the burglary and ask them to contact us if anyone tries to sell them items similar to those described.”
