Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a robbery in Leicester.

The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Thursday August 6, when the victim, an 18-year-old man, was approached by three men on St Marks Street and made to walk down a nearby alley.

Once in the alley one of the men took his wallet and then all three of them ran off in the direction of Woodboys Street.

The wallet taken is described as a black leather, Armani wallet that contained a quantity of cash and a number of bank cards.

The victim did not receive any injuries.

One of the men was described a being of dual heritage, around 18 to 19-years-old, about 59 tall and was of a skinny build. He had a small black beard and was wearing a hat, a grey tracksuit and black trainers.

The second man is described as being of dual heritage, around 19-years-old, 57 and of a skinny build. He was wearing a black hat and a black hooded jacket with the hood pulled up.

The third man is described as black, aged about 20 to 21-years-old and of a stocky build. He was bald and had a round face with a small moustache. He was wearing a tight blue t-shirt with a collar and loose fitting denim jeans.

PC Alistair Wheeler, the officer investigating the incident, said: Prior to the incident the victim was approached by the men, at the junction with Belgrave Road and St Marks Street, where they asked him if he wanted to buy a mobile phone.

When the victim was taken down the alley the three men were met by a young woman. We would like to appeal to this woman to come forward and help us with our enquiries.

We want anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the men approach the victim before the robbery to contact us, the information you have could be vital to our investigation.
