Police are appealing for witnesses after petrol was stolen from a vehicle parked on Heath Lane South in Earl Shilton.

The incident happened sometime between 9.30pm on Tuesday August 18 and 9.10am on Wednesday August 19, 2009 when thieves drilled a hole in the petrol tank of a blue Renault 206 and stole approximately 20s worth of fuel.

PC Kate Cheney, who is investigating the incident, said: I would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the Heath Lane South area between the above times.

Did you see anybody lying or crouching under parked car? Did you see anybody walking in the area with a petrol container? If so, then please contact me.
