Man charged with number of sexual assaults

Police have charged a man in connection with a series of indecent assaults in the Clarendon Park and Westcotes areas of Leicester.

Codenamed Operation Quayside, Leicestershire Constabulary have been investigating the assaults since the beginning of 2009 after a number of women reported they had been grabbed by a man on the chest or bottom.

A 36-year-old manarrested in Mayhasbeen charged with 15 counts of sexual assault and two counts of possession of extreme porngraphy.

He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court today (Thursday September 24, 2009).
