Detectives have released computer images of two men wanted in connection with an aggravated burglary in Thorpe Astley in which a man suffered serious facial injuries.

Thirty nine year old Ricki Hall was at home on Sunday 27th September 2009 when three masked men forced their way into his home on Bolus Road at 9.50pm. He was assaulted with a bladed object and suffered serious facial injuries. They took a quantity of cash and a steel and gold (bi-metal) Rolex Submariner watch with a blue bezel and face. Mr Halls wife and two month old son were in the house at the time. Detectives believe a fourth man may also have been involved.

Its thought his attackers left the address and made their way on foot towards some nearby grassland, climbed over a fence and onto wasteland by a stream near to Valley Drive.

The first man is described as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall of a medium build and in his late 30s. He had short black curly hair and spoke with a local accent.

The second man is described as a white male about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall of a stocky build aged between mid 20 to mid 30. He had short dark hair which was shorter on the sides and was wearing a light coloured hooded jacket. The third man is also a white male about 5 feet 10 inches tall of a medium build with blonde coloured hair. He was wearing a dark jacket.

The Police have issued Eigen fit images of two of the suspects.

DC Nick Freeman from CID in Wigston said; This was a horrifying attack on a man in his own home while his family were present. Thankfully incidents like this are extremely rare but wed like to catch the people responsible for this frightening attack and we hope someone might recognise the suspects pictures and contact us. Wed also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered a steel and gold (bi-metal) Rolex Submariner watch with a blue bezel and face.

Mr Hall is offering a 5,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Anyone with any information about this attack should call Leicester (0116) 222 2222 or then please contact the Police.
