Robbery in Victoria Park
Police are appealing for two key witnesses to come forward following the report of a robbery in Victoria Park, Leicester.
The incident happened at around 3.25pm on Monday October 26, when the victim was approached by four youths at the first entrance to the park in Victoria Park Road as he walked towards London Road.
The youths threatened the victim and made him hand over his cash. They then pushed him further into the park, near to a pond.
The victim was then assaulted by two of the youths, causing him to fall to the ground. One of the youths then threatened him with what is believed to be a knife and demanded he hand over his phone.
Two passers-by saw the incident and shouted to the youths to stop. The youths then ran away.
The victim received cuts and bruising to his head as a result of the robbery but did not attend hospital.
All four suspects are described as black, aged between 17 and 18-years-old and were wearing hats that zipped up over their faces, the hats are described as being similar to balaclavas.
Three of the youths were said to be around 510 tall. Two of these were wearing black jackets.
The fourth youth, who threatened the victim with what is believed to be a knife, is described as being of slim build, around 6ft tall, and was wearing a green jacket.
Two men who intervened and stopped the robbery are described as Asian, and around 25 to 26-years-old. One of them had long hair that was held back with a hair band and a small goatee beard.

Detective Constable James Willoughby, the officer investigating the incident said: We are hoping that anyone who reads this appeal and thinks they have information about the incident will contact us.
We are particularly interested in speaking with the two men who stopped to help the victim. If you think you are one of these men or you know who they are then please get in touch. You may have key information that could help with our investigation.
I would also like to ask people who think they know those responsible to call us. You might have been walking on Victoria Park and can remember seeing a group of four youths? The hats are quite distinctive and they may have attracted your attention? Maybe you are a parent or student who was walking home from school across the park and witnessed the incident?
