Police have released the pictures of four bikes that have been stolen following a burglary in Vyner Close, Thorpe Astley.

The incident happened over night between 6pm on Tuesday November 17 and 6.30am on Wednesday November 18, when the occupant of the house found two bikes had been stolen from the shed in her back garden.

The door to the shed had been forced open.

Also stolen in the burglary was a set of golf clubs and black golf bag, a Makita cordless power drill, a Makita circular saw, a black bike stand, a black and blue diving dry suit and a black and green diving stab jacket.

PC Martin Aston, the officer investigating the incident, said: We are hoping that someone will recognise the bikes and help us reunite them with their owner. One of the bikes is quite rare and the owner is very keen to get it back.

We would like to ask you to take a close look at the bikes, do you recognise them? Has someone who lives near you recently acquired one similar? Have you seen one of the bikes in your area? Do you know where they are or who has them? If so then please call us and help us locate them.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1955 Martin Aston on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officer's identification number 1955. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous on 0800 555 111.
