Officers from the city are appealing for witnesses following a non-stop road traffic collision in Leicester.

The incident happened at around 9.15am on Friday November 20, in Sandacre Street and involved a pedestrian and a white car.

The car failed to stop at the scene and drove off along Mansfield Street.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, received minor injuries and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment.

PC Stephen Lewin, the officer investigating the incident, said: Thankfully the girl was not seriously injured.

We are keen to trace the driver of the car and would like anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
