Police are appealing for witnesses after a theft in Melton Mowbray.

The theft happened between around 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday January 16, when a rear wheel was stolen from a pedal cycle.

The cycle was chained by the frame to metal fencing on Leicester Road near to with junction with Dalby Road.

PC Paul Anderson, who is investigating the incident said: We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Leicester Road Way between these times and saw anything suspicious. Maybe you saw someone running off with the wheel or saw someone in the area with a cycle wheel.

If you saw anything at all, we would please ask you to contact us.
